We're discovering how wonderful it is to be grandparents! We spent last Sunday with our 2 grandchildren. We're at a large RV resort in Birch Bay, WA...just 7 miles south of the Canadian border (British Columbia). The weather cooperated and gave us a great day of warm (not hot) sunshine. The tide was out, which enabled us to walk far out into the bay. Parker loved romping in the water with his Grandpa Dennis, while Kennedy enjoyed the sunshine, lovingly cradled by mom Jenn in the sling baby carrier. [What a terrific invention...wish we'd had that when our kids were little....so much better than the umbrella strollers of the '70's.]
It was exciting to view the beach through the eyes of a 2-year old, experiencing the water and navigating through seaweed, shells, and wet sand. Parker filled 2 buckets with seashells...beginning his personal shell collection, and creating what will hopefully be a long-lasting memory of a fun day at the beach with Grandma & Grandpa!
