Exciting things have been happening, so it's time to begin blogging again. We've been doing a LOT of traveling, but more about that later. Currently, we're in Southern California; Los Angeles, specifically. Here's what's happening now:
On October 20th, 2008, we visited the CBS set of Dancing With the Stars with Laura Saltman, a correspondent for Access Hollywood. Since so many dancers have been getting hurt during this season and some from other seasons, they wanted to find out if the dance floor was "cursed". Some dancers suggested they contact a medium, so we were invited to check it out with them. (Pictured with us on the DWTS dance floor are Bryant Huddleston, our segment producer from Access Hollywood, and Laura.)
The minute Dennis walked out on the dance floor (which is an amazing set by the way...lots of lights and ballroom chandeliers), he felt chills and said he felt several people had died there and that he wanted to cry. He asked if a road had ever come through that area because he felt the people had died in car crashes. Laura confirmed that what he was getting was in fact correct. In the 1930's, there used to a stadium that doubled as a sports arena and racetrack. She even showed us photos, and went on to explain that 5 people died from car crashes on the racetrack.
They taped us for an hour, during which time we explained that instead of saying "cursed", just say "phenomena" to explain the "energy field" that lingers on the dance floor. When the dancers enter those energy filled areas, they are more susceptible to being injured because they tense up or get tripped in energy field .... a lot like the Bermuda Triangle does for those who enter those waters.

While at the DWTS set, we were able to stay to watch the rehearsal for that evening's live show. What fun that was!! We met the DWTS host, Tom Bergeron (also the host of America's Funniest Home Videos for the past 19 years!). He was just so nice and easy to talk to. We also met 2 of the dancers, Cheryl Burke and Derek Hough. They taped interviews with us, but only a piece of Derek's was aired that night. They are both believers in all this, and were very interested in learning about the energy field. No, we didn't meet Cloris Leachman or Susan Lucci, but we did get to see them all rehearse their dance routines.
Also on Wednesday, October 22nd, we taped 2 shows for the Billy Bush radio show. It airs locally in L.A. The second show will air sometime next week in time for Halloween. We did on-air readings for Billy, and his on-air partner, Michelle. They were both great fun to do a show with!
We're in the L.A. area for 2 more weeks....stay tuned for more about our adventures!
